Penguin commissioned Angus Hyland and his team at Pentagram to design a new series of five of Virginia Woolf’s major works in hardback editions. The designs reference authentic period elements but do so in an entirely contemporary manner.
The dust jackets feature abstract compositions in the spirit of the textile designs of the Omega Workshop. The Workshop was founded by members of the Bloomsbury Group who included Woolf herself, her sisterVanessa Bell, and Duncan Grant.
The typography utilises Albertus, designed by Berthold Wolpe, and Gill Sans, designed by Eric Gill, both of whom were British typographers of the period.

Keeping the family business, Glenn, a middle-aged father, hunts the shadows and demons of the world beyond our everyday lives. When his daughter, Emily, is kidnapped by Vampires, he is thrust into a world where everything he knows is twisted on its side. As he attempts to save her, the head Vampire sets forth a wave of torture onto Glenn for amusement. He is forcibly given the monster’s blood- the very poisonous substance that will change him into a Vampire.
A single vial of the vampire’s blood is left for him as a test. In order to slow the change, Glenn takes a drop of the poison blood every day. It is the only way to keep the pain away and to stay alive. Yet as the poison gradually changes him into one of them, he begins to learn that he is apart of something much larger than he ever feared.
Glenn must kill the Vampire in order to save Emily and himself. With only the clue, “Heather Mayfield”, Glenn sets out to stop the demon’s plan with the aid of his half-brother Peter. Yet the words Heather Mayfield rouses up distant memories of Glenn’s late wife… memories better left forgotten.blueyolei’s page on the nanowrimo website
